CFA WINTER ACADEMY PROGRAM

Our cricket academies aim to facilitate a competitive but nurturing environment where players can learn and express themselves, to build confidence in their skills and as cricketers. Through group and one-on-one sessions, players will have the opportunity to work with our coaches to maximise their growth and develop their game!

These sessions will utilise a variety of training methods to develop well-rounded skill sets, with the aid of state-of-the-art video analysis, and our experienced coaching panel. We’re here to help every cricketer prepare for upcoming trials, and excel in school, club, and district competitions – with many of our past graduates going on to be selected in association, representative, and state squads.

CFA HIGH PERFORMANCE ACADEMY PROGRAM

CFA High Performance Academies are designed to create a more challenging and professional environment, providing players with the resources and facilities required to excel in Premier Cricket and School competitions from where they can push for selection in representative and state squads. Our smaller selected squads will train together to compete and challenge each other as well as share ideas and opinions in an intimate environment which we believe allows a balanced group of players (batters, bowlers etc) of similar abilities to produce a more rounded skill set. This will provide the skills to perform at a high standard and overcome different challenges and obstacles as they rise through the grades.

The High Performance Academies are run by South Australian elite pathway coaches alongside CFA coaches who will work closely with players to develop their skills in a variety of competitive and challenging environments whilst enforcing professional training habits.

CFA HIGH PERFORMANCE ACADEMY PROGRAM

Players who have previously been involved in CFA pathway programs or have been identified as cricketers of promise, are invited to participate in these academies. We also encourage players who believe they will benefit from an accelerated program or would like to be a part of one of our High Performance Academies to register their interest. In the past we have had many of our High Performance Academy players be selected to represent South Australia across various different age groups and tournaments.

Players involved in the High Performance academies in 2024 will have the opportunity to represent CFA in touring squads that will play in tournaments on the Sunshine Coast and in Darwin during July. These squads will compete against other academies and representative teams from around the country in limited overs tournaments.

Good service (despite a lot of the reviews being for the wrong business and not Cricket For All) Great deal on new cricket gloves for my son.

Excellent facilities. The staff are helpful but also willing to leave you alone if you’re just there to have a hit. The machine: It’s a 28 ball self feeding machine that can go up to 145km/h. I started at 80km/h just to get a feel for it, ended up at 115km/h after an hour. The machine can be adjusted to change the line and length, which is great for finding those weak spots and really working on it. Generally every ball will have the same line and length it’s about a 1-3 centimetres difference each ball I would say. Really good at working on specific shots. I found that once you set the machine up in a certain area that it’s just easier for you to move around opposed to realigning the machine every time you want a different line or in some cases length. Also could see how using this machine is beneficial in building up confidence for new players, you can just put the ball in good spots and find the sweet spot of the bat every time. I would say one-two people per machine is probably ideal, a 28 ball session takes about 15 minutes, so about four sessions per hour, any more than two batters and I don’t think you’d get enough out of it.

Great training facility, great coaches and great for net hire, with or without bowling machine and with or without one on one training. The addition of the new cricket shop is also a bonus with everything under one roof.
